PLAN YOUR REQUEST
Have you already chosen a unit?
If you have booked storage, add the facility name and postcode and choose No when asked whether storage needs arranging. If you need space, choose Yes and describe the items and expected duration. That tells us what to review; it does not reserve a unit. Confirm the space and delivery access before agreeing the collection.
What needs collecting?
List the larger pieces first, such as beds, sofas, wardrobes and appliances, then estimate the number of boxes. Mention items that cannot be carried as they are, including furniture that may need dismantling. If you want packing help, include it in the request so the work can be discussed before you book the movers.
Access at your house, flat or apartment
Tell us the floor, whether there is a working lift and how close a vehicle can stop to the entrance. A long carry through a courtyard or a sofa that only fits through one doorway matters when planning the job. Check with your building manager if deliveries need a booked time or use of a service lift.
Before the vehicle reaches the storage facility
Ask the facility about delivery hours, loading access and whether a slot is required. Confirm who can open the unit and whether you need to be present. The moving crew should not have to arrive and discover that access has not been authorised. Share the agreed arrangements with us before the collection date.
Storage now and delivery later
You can ask about bringing your belongings back out when the next address is ready. Add the expected return date and destination if you have them, or tell us they are still unknown. Collection into storage and later delivery are separate parts of the job, so ask what each part of the quotation covers.
What should I check in the quote?
Ask whether the transport price includes the loading, unloading and any packing or dismantling you requested. Check storage charges with the provider and ask what cover applies during transport and while the items are stored. Confirm who will open the unit and whether a delivery slot is needed. These are separate questions even when you discuss the whole job with us.
Keep an inventory and the items you need soon
Number the boxes and make a brief list before collection. Mark anything you expect to retrieve during storage, and discuss whether the proposed arrangement allows the access you need. Keep keys, travel documents and everyday essentials with you. If only some furniture is going into the unit, identify it clearly so the collection does not include items meant to stay at home.
An example enquiry
Your tenancy ends before your next home is ready. You have a bed, sofa, washing machine and twenty boxes. Add the collection postcode and the chosen facility, or say that storage has not been booked. Give the checkout deadline and leave an uncertain return date as unknown.
Use this example as a guide to the details you can include in your own request.
READY TO REQUEST A QUOTE?
Tell us what you need moved or stored.
Choose the move into storage. Add your London collection details and the chosen facility if known. Say whether you need space as well, and include any expected return delivery so we can review the separate parts.
Tell us about the jobPrices, availability and service arrangements are confirmed before booking.
