How much storage space do you need?

Choose the closest estimate on the form, or ask us to advise. You do not need to calculate a precise unit size before enquiring.

Short term or longer storage

Give your preferred start date and the expected duration. If you are waiting for a tenancy, building work or an overseas move, explain what determines the end date. Ask how an extension would be handled if the plan changes. Availability and the terms for the proposed storage arrangement need to be confirmed before booking.

Do you need to visit your belongings?

If you want to visit the unit, check who can enter, when access is available and how the items will be arranged. If you only want collection and return, ask how retrieval is booked and whether selected items can be brought back. Self storage unit rental and storage managed through a provider can have different access terms. Confirm the actual arrangement rather than assuming the name tells you what is included.

Getting the belongings into storage

Choose a facility that meets your storage needs, then tell us where the belongings are now and where they need to go. Our own removal service means you can ask for transport to your chosen unit without changing storage provider. Add the items, both locations and any loading restrictions. If you have not chosen space, describe the requirement in the same request.

Preparing items before they are stored

Make a list of the boxes and label them so you can find the contents later. Ask the facility about permitted goods before you pack anything unusual, and do not assume food, fuel or chemicals can be accepted. Raise valuable or fragile items with the team so suitable handling and cover can be discussed.

Questions to ask before you book

Before agreeing storage, check who provides the space and who your storage agreement is with. Ask about the charging period, minimum term, notice, permitted goods and cover. Check the total for the period you expect

Compare the storage charge for your expected stay, not just an advertised starting price. Ask what happens when an offer ends or the stay runs longer.
